1 Agustus Tarif Prameks Naik

YOGYA (KRjogja.com) - PT Kereta Api (KA) Persero mulai tanggal 1 Agustus 2011 mendatang berencana akan menaikan tarif Kereta Prambanan Ekspres (Prameks) dari harga semula Rp 9 ribu menjadi Rp 11 ribu tiap orang. Kenaikan ini berlaku bagi pengguna jasa Kereta Prameks jurusan Yogyakarta - Solo maupun Yogyakarta - Purworejo.

Kepala Humas PT KA (Persero) Daops VI Yogyakarta, Eko Budiyanto mengungkapkan, kenaikan tarif ini merupakan konsekuensi dari kenaikan biaya operasional kereta akibat tingginya harga bahan bakar. Sementara tarif Prameks yang berlaku saat ini masih menggunakan perhitungan harga saat bahan bakar belum naik.

"Jika masih menggunakan perhitungan lama, maka antara biaya operasional yang dikeluarkan dengan pendapatan tidak akan sinkron. Sebab Prameks ini menggunakan bahab bakar industri yang kini harganya mencapai Rp 9.500 per liter," ujarnya di Yogyakarta, Selasa (24/5).

Menurutnya, kenaikan tarif ini juga akan berlaku bagi pengguna Kartu Trayek Berlangganan (KTB) yang semula Rp 317 ribu per bulan menjadi sekitar Rp 380 ribu per bulan. Selanjutnya, PT KA akan berupaya untuk terus melakukan peningkatan layanan bagi penumpang termasuk standar fasilitas lainnya.

"Kami bukan ingin membebani masyarakat dengan kenaikan ini. Tetapi ini tidak bisa dihindari dan akan kami imbangi dengan peningkata kualitas layanan seperti ketepatan waktu, perbaikan fasilitas dan sebisa mungkin kita upayakan kereta tidak mogok," tuturnya.

Dijelaskan, dalam satu hari, jumlah penumpang Prameks mencapai sekitar 6 ribu hingga 8 ribu orang. Saat masa liburan, jumlah penumpang bisa mencapai 10 ribu orang lebih. Padahal, Daop VI hanya memiliki tiga set Kereta Rel Diesel Elektrik (KRDE) yang kondisinya baik.

"Untuk dua set KRD lain masing-masing hanya membawa tiga rangkaian gerbong. Idealnya untuk wilayah Daop VI ada tambahan 2 set KRDE lagi. Kami akan upayakan untuk diadakan lagi penambahan armada prameks agar pelayanan bisa maksimal," imbuhnya. (Ran)
