Ada Komodo di Malioboro

JOGJA - Ribuan warga memebanjiri sepanjang jalan di kawasan Malioboro tadi malam (22/10). Mereka antusias menyaksikan karnaval budaya tahunan Jogja Java Carnival edisi ke-8.

Karnaval baru mulai sekitar pukul 19.00, namun puluhan ribu masyarakat sudah memadati tepi jalan antara Taman Parkir Abu Bakar Ali hingga Titik Nol Kilometer sejak beberapa jam sebelumnya. Bahkan, sejak sore sudah terlihat ribuan warga di kanan-kiri ruas jalan yang menjadi rute karnaval.

Sekitar pukul 20.00, kelompok peserta karnaval bergerak. Ada 37 kelompok yang berpartisipasi. Mereka berasal dari berbagai kelompok budaya. Selain itu, ada replika delapan keajaiban dunia.
