Demikian disampaikan Ketua Pansus Rancangan Peraturan Daerah (Raperda) Anak Jalanan (Anjal) DPRD DIY Nanang Roekmadi.

(AU/OL-11)

Those who get kids to make money on the street was threatened with fines up to Rp 50 million or imprisonment for a maximum of six months.

Nana argued that criminalization rules set forth in the draft draft DIY Province on the Protection of Street Children.

He put forward draft legislation is expected to be ratified on 23 May. "We're still doing an intensive discussion," he said.

Important points in this draft, he added, the problem of population. "We admit there are difficulties in determining the status of children outside the home DIY or DIY. For example, the parents of street children come from outside the DIY and have children in the territory of DIY. There are also street children who already know the origin of the parents, but do not have ID cards and forth, "he said.

He argues that the status of street children is important because of their rights, such as education and health issues and other matters.
