GUNUNG KIDUL, KOMPAS. com — Hujan deras yang mengguyur Kecamatan Gedangsari, Sabtu (30/4/2011), menyebabkan longsor pada talut jalan alternatif yang menghubungkan Gunung Kidul-Klaten, Jawa Tengah. Talut penahan badan jalan mengalami longsor sepanjang 30 meter sehingga menyebabkan arus lalu lintas kedua arah sempat terputus.

Camat Gedangsari, Huntoro Purwo Wargono, mengatakan, pihaknya sudah melakukan koordinasi lintas instansi guna pengamanan dan pembukaan akses jalan di sekitar lokasi longsor agar tidak meluas.

"Kami berusaha agar longsor susulan tidak terjadi," ujarnya.

Secara terpisah, Sugiman (51), warga setempat, mengakui curah hujan memang cukup tinggi. Karena lokasi longsor mengancam fasilitas umum, warga sekitar dibantu aparat TNI, kepolisian, dan PMI sudah melakukan gotong royong, membersihkan sisa longsoran agar akses jalan kembali terbuka.

"Secara geografis wilayah ini terdiri dari perbukitan dan memiliki tingkat kemiringan tanah cukup curam sehingga jika diguyur hujan terus-menerus sangat rawan dengan ancaman longsor," kata Sugiman.
