Mahasiswa UII Lolos Final Lomba Desain Dasbor F1

SLEMAN (KRjogja.com) - Tiga mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi UII Yogyakarta menorehkan prestasi membanggakan. mereka adalah Yuyus Afandi, Muhammad Elza Rifki dan Aidin Satria Jati,yang tergabung dalam Tim Garuda dan berhasil lolos grand final System Aplication Production (SAP) F1 Dashboard Design Challenge.

Tim Garuda merupakan satu-satunya wakil dari Indonesia yang lolos masuk final. Selain itu, Tim Garuda juga satu-satunya tim yang berasal dari Fakultas Ekonomi. "Ada 6 tim yang lolos grand final. Dan Tim Garuda ini semuanya adalah mahasiswa Ekonomi. Padahal, tim yang lain berasal dari Fakultas Tekhnik. Makanya, ini menjadi kebanggaan kami karena mewakili Indonesia," ungkap Rektor UII Edi Suandi Hamid di kampus UII Terpadu, Selasa (8/2).

Prestasi mahasiswanya tersebut, lanjut Edi Suandi, juga tak lepas dari dorongan universitas. Kendati berlatar belakang Ekonomi, namun UII terus mendukung kreatifitas mahasiswa. "Kami menganggarkan dana untuk kreatifitas mahasiswa. Baik di tingkat Universitas maupun Fakultas. Jadi, mahasiswa kami berikan peluang untuk kreatif. Bahkan, mereka ini malah mengeluarkan dana sendiri dan tetap bangga," imbuhnya.

Rektor sendiri awalnya tidak menyangka ada mahasiswanya yang bisa merancang sistem aplikasi untuk dashbord F1. Terlebih, itu dilakukan diluar disiplin ilmu yang kini ditekuni. "Saya mulanya kaget, kok bisa mahasiswa Ekonomi merancang sistem untuk F1 dan masuk grand final lagi. Meski hadiahnya tidak terlalu banyak, namun sangat prestis karena levelnya dunia," tandas Edi.

Final SAP F1 Dashboard Design Chalenge sendiri akan diselenggarakan pada 18 Februari 2011 mendatang melalui web-konferensi. Penilaian berdasarkan fungsi, kreatifitas, manajemen data dan dokumen pendukung lainnya.
Desain dasbor harus memungkinkan untuk mendapatkan wawasan luas dari kinerja tim F1. Baik untuk musim kompetisi, pembalap serta timnya. Dasbor itu sendiri untuk menganalisis kinerja semua tim F1 selama 10 tahun terakhir, yakni kompetisi tahun 2001-2010. (Dhi)





UII Student Pass Design Competition Finals F1 Dashboard

SLEMAN (KRjogja.com) - Three students of Faculty of Economics, UII Yogyakarta incised achievements. they are Yuyus Afandi, Muhammad Elza Rifki and Aidin Satria Teak, which is incorporated in the Garuda team and managed to escape grand final Production Application System (SAP) F1 Dashboard Design Challenge.

Team Garuda is the only representative from Indonesia who escaped in the final. In addition, team Garuda is also the only team from the Faculty of Economics. "There are 6 teams that qualify for the final round. And the team Garuda are all students of Economics. In fact, another team from the Technical Faculty. So, this became our pride because they represent Indonesia," said Edi Suandi Rector UII UII Integrated Hamid on campus, Tuesday (8 / 2).

Student achievement, further Edi Suandi, also not free from the urge universities. Despite economic background, but UII continue to support the creativity of students. "We have budgeted funds for student creativity. Both the University and Faculty level. So, we give students the opportunity to be creative. In fact, they are even issued its own funds and still be proud," he added.

Rector himself initially did not expect any student who can design systems for the dashboard application F1. Moreover, it is done outside the scientific discipline that is now occupied. "I was initially shocked, how can students of Economics to design a system for F1 and enter the grand final again. Although the prize is not too much, but very prestige as the world level," said Edi.

SAP Final Dashboard Design Chalenge own F1 will be held on February 18, 2011 via web-conference. Assessment based on function, creativity, management data and other supporting documents.
Dashboard design should allow to gain insight from the F1 team performance. Good for the competition season, racing driver and his team. Dashboard itself to analyze the performance of all teams F1 for 10 years, ie 2001-2010 competition year. (Dhi)
