21 Tim Berlaga di Kontes Muatan Roket Indonesia

Yogyakarta - Sebanyak 21 tim dari 23 tim dari berbagai perguruan tinggi se Indonesia hari ini mengikuti Kontes Muatan Roket Indonesia (Komunrindo) 2011 di Pantai Pandansimo, Bantul, Provinsi DI Yogyakarta. 23 tim yang dinyatakan lolos verifikasi oleh tim juri itu berhak mengikuti peluncuran roket di Pantai Pandansimo.


Namun pada saat uji peluncuran, dua tim yaitu tim roket yang mengundurkan diri. Kedua tim mengalami kerusakan radio frekuensi (rs) akibat terbakar pada saat proses integrasi. Pada saat dilakukan ujicoba peluncuran, ribuan warga datang silih berganti menyaksikan dari kejauhan di pinggir pantai. Penonton hanya bisa menyaksikan dari radius 500 meter dari titik lokasi peluncuran.


"Ada 23 tim yang lolos, 14 tim lolos uji fungsional pada sesi pertama hari sabtu kemarin dan 9 tim lolos fungsional pada sesi retry. 23 Tim itu berhak ikut uji peluncuran," kata Ketua Panitia Komurindo 2011, Agfianto kepada wartawan di Pantai Pandansimo, Minggu (26/6/2011).

Menurut dia, kompetisi yang mengambil tema “Attitude Monitoring and Surveillance”, yakni kompetisi untuk mendapatkan juara hasil rancang bangun muatan roket (payload) yang mampu kembali atau menuju sasaran yang telah ditentukan (homming), setelah terlepas dan terpisah dari roket peluncur seri RUM70-100-LPN. "Roket ini berbahan bakar propelan padat dan dapat mencapai tinggi terbang 2 km," katanya.


Dia mengatakan muatan yang lolos uji fungsional bisa ikuti peluncuran. Muatan akan diluncuran diintegrasikan dengan roket. "Sebelum lomba peluncuran, panitia melakukan uji dimensi dan payload dan lomba uji fungsionalitas," katanya.


Agfianto mengatakan dalam uji peluncuran roket setiap peserta diberikan kesempatan meluncurkan roket. Adapun cara kerja roket layaknya proses pelepasan pesawat angkasa luar. Saat berada di angkasa, roket melakukan separasi, payload dan motor berpisah. Keduanya terbang diangkasa dengan parasut. Saat di angkasa payload diberikan sejumlah misi untuk mengambil data serta gambar.


Pada 12 detik pertama mengambil data akselerometer. Selanjutnya mulai detik 12-72 mengambil data gambar. Data maupun gambar diperoleh dari hasil jepretan kamera foto yang didalamnya terdapat transmisi data. Kemudian hasilnya dikirim ke bumi yang selanjutnya diterima dengan komputer.


"Data itulah yang selanjutnya diolah menjadi image/grafik untuk dipresentasikan besok," katanya.


Dia menambahkan kompetisi muatan roket ini diselenggarakan oleh Lembaga Penerbangan dan Antariksa Nasional (LAPAN) bersama Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi,
Akademi Angkatan Udara (AAU) dan Pemerintah Kabupaten Bantul. Kompetisi yang diselenggarakan dalam rangka menyambut hari Kebangkitan Teknologi Nasional ini diikuti sekitar 43 perguruan tinggi se-Indonesia.


Sementara itu Manajer tim Gama-Sat 1 dan Gama-Sat 2 dari UGM, Fitri Rahmaningrum mengaku lega kedua roket tim UGM bisa meluncur, meskipun Gama-Sat 2 tidak bisa melakukan separasi (pemisahan) antara muatan roket (payload) dengan motor.


"Kita juga belum tahu hasilnya, apakah bisa merekam gambar dan data atau tidak dengan baik. Hal itu juga akan menentukan saat penilaian hasil presentasi yang juga akan menentukan pemenangnya,” kata Fitri.


Menurut dia, setiap tahun kompetisi roket itu selalu dengan tema yang berbeda dan jumlah peserta yang bertambah banyak hingga 40-an perguruan tinggi negeri dan swasta. Persiapan membuat paylod sudah dilakukan sejak akhir Januari 2011. Uji fungsional juga telah dilakukan sebanyak dua kali dan diperoleh hasil yang diinginkan.


Muatan roket yang dibuat oleh tim UGM menelan biaya kurang lebih Rp. 10 juta, dengan diameter 100 mm, tinggi 200 mm dan berat maksimal 1.000 gram. Adapun motor yang digunakan adalah dengan spesifikasi arus besar dengan dimensi yang kecil.


"Payload kami tidak bisa pulang, tadi mendarat di laut dan terbawa arus. Berarti Rp. 10 juta melayang, tapi tak mengapa semoga hasilnya tadi bagus dan nantinya bisa membawa pulang juara," pungkas Fitri.
