2,5 Juta Sepeda Motor Bakal Masuk Yogya

YOGYAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Tim pemantau angkutan lebaran Propinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) memprediksi jumlah sepeda motor yang masuk wilayah DIY pada masa angkutan lebaran mencapat 2,5 juta unit. Sedangkan untuk mobil sekitar 1,1 juta unit, bus 97 ribu unit dan truk berjumlah 159 ribu unit atau mengalami kenaikan sekitar 4,9 persen dibandingkan tahun lalu (2010). Pada lebaran tahun 2010 lalu, jumlah sepeda motor yang masuk Yogyakarta berjumlah 2.410.129.

"Kami memprediksi ada angka kenaikan yanng signifikan pada kendaraan bermotor yang akan masuk Yogyakarta pada masa lebaran nanti," ungkap Kapolda DIY Brigjen Tjuk Basuki, Selasa (23/08/2011) dalam keterangan pers tentang pengamanan dan kesiapan menghadapi lebaran 2011.

Diperkirakan, lanjut Tjuk, puncak arus mudik di Propinsi DIY akan terjadi pada tanggal 27 Agustus mendatang. Sedangkan arus balik diperkirakan terjadi tanggal 3 September 2011.

"Para pemudik yang menuju maupun yang melewati Yogyakarta untuk berhati-hati serta waspada dalam perjalanan. Berhentilah di tempat-tempat yang dianggap aman seperti di pos SPBU, dekat kantor polisi atau di pos-pos yang ada petugasnya untuk mengantisipasi hal-hal yang tak kita inginkan," imbuhnya.

Kepala Dinas Perhubungaan dan Kominfo Propinsi DIY, Tjipto Haribowo menambahkan, tim Angkutan Lebaran 2011 membuka beberapa posko di sejumlah tempat. Posko induk berpusat di kantor Dinas Perhubungan dan Kominfo Provinsi DIY yang didukung 236 personel. Posko monitoring angkutan lebaran dan penumpang dibuka di Stasiun Tugu, di Bandara Adisucipto, Terminal Giwangan, Terminal Jombor, Terminal Wonosari dan terminal Bantuan Wates Kulonprogo.

"Sedangkan untuk kondisi jalanan di wilayah propinsi DIY sudah sangat baik dan siap menyambut para pemudik," ujar Tjipto.
